How to Care for Your Silk?

Silk is a luxurious and delicate natural material that could keep its beauty and softness for a very long time if cared for appropriately. With these simple tips your silk garments will remain beautiful and high quality for years.

Wash Delicately

We recommend handwashing or the delicate cycle on your washing machine. Use cold or lukewarm water (up to 30 °C) and a special detergent that is suitable for silk or wool.

Avoid Strong Friction and Wringing

Don't rub or wring out silk products. After washing lightly squeeze out any excess water or roll the garment up in a soft towel.

Air Dry

Let silk dry in open air, either laid out flat on a surface or hanging on a clothes' hanger. Avoid direct sunlight or dryer — these could potentially damage the fabric.

Iron or Steam on Low Heat

If ironing is necessary, do it on low heat and preferably on a damp fabric or through a thin cloth.

Store Carefully

Store your silk garments in a dry and well aerated place. For long term storage avoid plastic bags — use breathable canvas bags or the like.

With the proper care, silk will retain its natural shine, softness and luxurious look for generations.
